You Need Space

Get your snorkel everybody because we're about to go deep.

First, stop pleasing everybody, stop hurting yourself, stop forcing yourself, stop being so nice even though you know that they're taking you for granted. Just stop and start doing something for yourself and breathe. Don't fill yourself with burdens and hatreds, scream it out, let it go. What you need is space.
You need space sometimes for yourself. If you don't want to talk to someone, then don't, stop forcing yourself doing things that you don't want just to make others feel comfortable and entertained by you. You don't need to do that, what you need is to make yourself comfortable in what you do, and don't mind what others may think about you for as long as you're doing something in your favor. It's not their right and will never be, it's yours. Have a time for yourself, go out. It's never awkward or embarrassing going out by yourself, as long as you're having a great time and enjoying the company of yourself, nothing is embarrassing. Because being alone doesn't mean you're lonely, sometimes it means you believe that you don't need a lot of people beside you (few will do), because you have you.

If everything isn't working the way you wanted it or the way other people wanted it, don't force it to work out. You're confused and over faffing, you have to relax and think so go and breathe outside. You'll never know how it can change everything. Giving yourself space doesn't necessarily mean you have to go on a vacation, sometimes three deep breaths, few hours of not talking, beauty sleep, and gathering your positive perceptions and motivations will do. Just relax.

You're allowed to give yourself space from people just for a while or for as long as you want to. It's up to you. Go out and breathe, you deserve it. Clear your mind, as clear as the beach in Maldives. Let it go, the way Elsa did. Do yourself a favor, be happy and free yourself from heartaches, like you're a little kid once again. Always remember you're in control of yourself, don't let people and the world take on you. Your weapon is you, free yourself.

  1. What a great post! I could not agree more! I am so happy to see so many people catching on to the concept of self love, as it is the first step in also being able to be there for others!

  3. That is so true! I always keep forgetting to give time to myself. Always thinking for others happiness and not mine. This post reflects me a lot. Thank you for reminding! :)

  7. Woah, you went in so deep, I saw the Titanic.

For serious though, Fads, this in an incredible post. I love having my space. I love being alone in my room, with my own collective thoughts to relax and do my own thing. I love taking care of myself and spending time alone but that doesn't mean I'm lonely. In fact, I have many loved one, it's just I need to step back sometimes and recharge. That's all <3
